Memories of the Bridgewater Fair
For many people, the Bridgewater Fair is the focal point of the summer, bringing to end a year's worth of work and beginning the cycle of planning and preparation once more.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, the Bridgewater Fair was canceled for the second time in its sixty-nine year history. Working with the Burnham Library and the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department, the Connecticut Crossroads Project collected memories and conversations to record the remarkable event, its history and how it connects community.
The COVID19 Pandemic
The COVID19 Pandemic is a very personal thing. As people stayed home, reckoned with themselves, how they lived their lives and what it meant to be isolated, how did it change them? How do you come out of this ucscathed as we mourn our losses and put our lives back together?
In March of 2020, the Connecticut Crossroads Project, in conjunction with Burnham Library in Bridgewater, CT and New Milford Library, saught to document the memories of the Pandemic. People began submitting brief memories examining the questions above, and more.
What is it like for you to live through a Pandemic?
Dicey Times
Memories of Games and Gamers from the golden age of board gaming (that's right now).
Dicey Times is a project of the Connecticut Crossroads. Taking the cornerstones of the main project: casual, community, conversations, the project seeks to document lives of analog gamers during the Pandemic of 2020, but also during this boom-time in our beloved hobby. Board games build community. How have they changed your life?
